From the perspective of multiculturalism, the research group takes Oceanian literature since the 1970s as its research object, and takes multicultural thought theory, Australian literature, New Zealand literature and South Pacific Island literature as its research content. Along the lines of text, literature, culture and civilization, the research group adopts synchronic study as its main research method and diachronic study as its auxiliary research method. It will reveal the multicultural values contained in the literary texts of Oceania, and on this basis, from the height of human civilization and world literature, it will elaborate on the multicultural pattern of Oceania and the internal and external interaction of Oceania's multicultural culture, highlight the essential characteristics of the hybridity of Oceania's multicultural culture, and help build a community with a shared future for mankind.
