A Delegation from Kennedy International Center of Brigham Young University Visit the SFL
On May 20, Ms. Judy Jessiman Batschi, deputy director of the Kennedy Center at Brigham Young University, and Mr. Matthew Jordan Batschi visited the School of Foreign Languages to carry out exchanges, and in-depth discussions on faculty exchanges and cooperation intentions. Tao Qing, Vice Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, Zhang Xin, Secretary of Foreign Affairs and relevant staff of the Office of Foreign Cooperation and Exchange received the visiting guests.
Tao Qing expressed warm welcome to the visiting guests. He briefly introduced the development achievements of the School of Foreign Languages in recent years. He said that the SFL had gathered outstanding young elites from all over China, and had been committed to building an international education platform and providing students with learning opportunities in line with the world. He elaborated on the measures and achievements of the SFL in talent training, curriculum and international teaching team building, and said that the SFL will make continuous efforts to contribute to the training of more interdisciplinary language talents.
Ms. Judy Jessiman Batschi said that Brigham Young University had a long history, and had established a solid foundation for cooperation with 27 universities in China, and also had a stable relationship of educational cooperation and exchange with Shanghai Jiao Tong University. It was expected that the two sides will carry out more exchanges in the future and keep exploring a wider mode of cooperation.
Both sides expressed the hope that the visit will further promote the exchanges and cooperation between the two sides and facilitate cooperative development.
