At the same time, it served as an opportunity for cross-cultural practice and exchange between different cultures.
In addition, Michael Dietrich from the University of Munich, Germany, taught on cultural studies to students from the German Department of the School of Foreign Languages of Shanghai Jiao Tong University through the online course platform.
From May 9 to May 10, 2024, Mr. Matthias Springer from the University of Munich, Germany, came to the School of Foreign Languages of Shanghai Jiao Tong University to give a special course on language and culture to German students, aiming to improve their academic ability and expand their discourse skills in the study of German language and culture and gain a deeper understanding of cross-cultural learning and multilingual research.
Through this series of courses, students have gained more experience in cross-cultural communication, and practised their language skills in the German academic environment, laying a good foundation for their future study and practice. It was hoped that the cooperation between the University of Munich and the School of Foreign Languages will become even closer, and they will work together to promote the Sino-German cultural exchanges and write a new chapter.
